Where’s the beef? Nebraska!
Gov. Dave Heineman and Department of Agriculture Director Greg Ibach this week applauded those involved in the cattle and agriculture industry, noting the state’s new position as the nation’s top state for cattle feeding. That’s according to the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service, which on Friday released its monthly national report, Cattle on Feed, for feedlots above 1,000 head capacity.

Any hopes of Central Catholic reaching a 17th consecutive girls state basketball tournament appearance now lies in the hands of the three teams ahead of them in the Class C-2 power point standings. Central Catholic was put in the wait-and-see position following its 58-55 setback to Pender during Thursday’s C2-3 subdistrict finals at Wisner in a battle of top five teams.
Brothers march in Parade of Champs
His whole life, Riley Berg has followed in the footsteps of his older brother Joe. That, in a way, changed on Saturday. And in a very special way.
