Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.
10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.
Arlington shuts down Seniors West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Norbert Ruskamp - February 20, 2013

Funeral services for Norbert Ruskamp, age 82, of Dodge, were Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Olean rural Dodge. Interment with military honors by Dodge American Legion and V.F.W. were in the church cemetery.
Minnick Funeral Home in Dodge was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Cemetery-Olean, Dodge Fire and Rescue, or the Dodge Legion Club.
Norbert passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at the Parkview Home in Dodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ruskamp of Dodge; children and their families Jeanette and husband Kevin Lueshen of Beemer and family, Amanda and husband Eric Davis, Landon and wife Andrea Lueshen and children Adalyn, Callan and Myla; Zachary and wife Kristine Lueshen, and Matthew and wife Mary Lueshen and daughter Natalie; Eileen and husband Duane Karmazin of Omaha; Carol and husband David Oligmueller of Pilger and family, Tyler Oligmueller, Jason Oligmueller, Travis Oligmueller and Jayda Oligmueller; Thomas and wife Bonnie Ruskamp of Dodge and family, Danielle and husband Adam Klein, Courtney Ruskamp, and Garrett Ruskamp; Randal and wife Jill Ruskamp of Schuyler and family; Lauren and husband Kyle O’Donnell and daughter Aurora; Bonnie Martin, Will Martin, Claire Martin, Audrey Ruskamp and Nora Ruskamp; Bernard and wife Lori Ruskamp of Pilger and children Riley Ruskamp and Calby Ruskamp; Christopher and wife Lori Ruskamp of Pender and children Tessa Ruskamp, Keegan Ruskamp, Beau Ruskamp and Chesney Ruskamp; sister, Elaine and husband Anthony Blankenau of Dodge.
