MarketPlace returning to West Point

The eighth annual MarketPlace rural entrepreneurship conference is less than three weeks away.
This year’s event will take place Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Nielsen Community Center, West Point. The theme this year is “Connect. Learn. Be Inspired.”
A key date, however, is this Friday. That’s the last day registration can be made for $50. From Jan. 25 to Feb. 7, the registration fee will be $60. Late registrations, made after Feb. 7, are not guaranteed.
Area students and teachers can attend at a cost of $25.
Dave Wimmer, former CEO of Wimmer’s Meats, will present the keynote address. Brian Depew, Executive Director for the Center for Rural Affairs, will give the morning’s opening address.

MarketPlace is an event focused on energizing small businesses and rural communities. This marks the second straight year for the event to be held locally.
The full day includes several educational sessions and exhibitor booths with abundant networking opportunities.
Businesses and organizations have a chance to tap into many outstanding marketing opportunities by having an exhibit booth, selling their products on-site in the MarketPlace Store, or through sponsoring MarketPlace.
