Northeast Community College in West Point will offer a variety of classes in West Point this month.
Most of the classes will be held at NECC’s extended campus at 202 Anna Stalp Avenue, but some will be held elsewhere.
Learning skills for success — A two-credit course this month designed to help participants develop techniques that foster success in college and life.
Learning Skills for Success will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 13 – March 7, from 8 – 9:45 a.m., in the Northeast Community College Extended Campus, Room 222, at 202 Anna Stalp Avenue.
Topics in the class will include study strategies to improve reading, memory, note-taking and test-taking; time management; anxiety control; critical and creative thinking; communication skills; conflict management; health awareness; money management; and motivation.
Cost of the course, with Karen Scott the instructor, is $194.

iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch – The Basics — will be held Thursday, Jan. 16, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Northeast Community College Extended Campus, Room 212, at 202 Anna Stalp Avenue.
Class participants will learn how to use an iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch for emailing, browsing the web, managing time, getting directions, taking notes, taking photos, and listening to music.
