This year’s West Point Community Theatre holiday concert will be presented Saturday Dec. 7, featuring the vocal trio “SweetWater.”
The trio is billed as “one of the most popular variety groups in the upper Midwest.”
A social hour starts at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature two sets. The first set will feature SweetWater singing several gospel melodies, ballads and classic songs from the 1950s and 1960s.
The 2nd set will feature holiday music.
“This is our 5th annual holiday fund-raiser,” said Theatre president Jerry Hugo. “Last year we couldn’t schedule live music because of the construction, so we celebrated the debut of the new theatre seats.”
All proceeds from the concert will go to fund the ongoing theatre restoration and expansion.
Remodeling of the lobby and concessions area is scheduled for this winter.
Tickets are $25 and are available at F&M Bank, Citizen’s Bank, CharterWest Bank and PetroMart, all in West Point, and at the Theatre’s online ticket center at www.WestPointCommunityTheatre.com.
